ABOUT AGRITURISMO

We are in the middle of a Wildlife Reserve, where there are resident animals (deer, hares, squirrels) but also a colorful migratory fauna (gray and white herons, geese and wild ducks, cranes and even the rare sacred ibis). Beauty surrounds us. And we try to support it, from the attention to the flowered borders under the forest to the furnishings of each room. We choose artistic and craft productions of different historical periods and geographical origins, which combined in an unusual way, create that extra touch of innovation and originality.

We like to break predictable balances, as in the pleasure of a continuous game, between the childish taste of surprise and wonder.

So the Agriturismo Al Canton has become a unique agriturismo, where you can find environmental sustainability and design choices, botanical passions and approach to the land with a look not only technical but attentive to traditional knowledge. A photovoltaic system guarantees a large part of the energy needs of our structure.

HISTORY OF PASSIONS

At the beginning of ‘900 grandfather Giovanni began the reclamation of the area, with the construction of farmhouses and stables. His son Luigi, agronomist and pharmacist, continued the tradition and began a path of modernization and mechanization that led the farm in the post-war period to become fertile and productive.
Francesco, the current owner, after completing his studies in pharmacy, pursued his passion for the modern age and went to London to deepen and cultivate it. At the death of his father he inherited the family farm. But he wanted to be able to merge all his passions: love for the environment and curiosity for innovations, modernity and design, human relationships and the sharing of beauty.
Ca’ Bernarda, one of the farmhouses that fascinated him as a child, has become the Agriturismo Al Canton.

Team

If the backbone of the Agriturismo is Francesco, in his continuous improvement and refinement of details and places of hospitality, the soul of hospitality is Alessandra.
Alessandra will receive you with her kindness and her competence, built in thirty years of profession in the tourism sector.
She will organize the delicious breakfast in the morning, but above all to accompany your wishes, realizing everything you need concretely to be able to fulfill them.
But nothing could be so perfect both inside and outside our farm without the careful eye of Osvaldo, witness to the knowledge of the place, depositary of the popular culture of the company, poet of nature.
